REALISING MOA, THE FACULTY OF SHARIA AND LAW AND INDONESIAN ADVOCATES ASSOCIATION HELD SPECIAL EDUCATION FOR ADVOCATE PROFESSION

FSH-UIN — One form of follow-up to the cooperation agreement (Memorandum of Agreement) between the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) Palembang City, on Saturday, 18 January 2024, located in the Munaqasyah Room of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, the official opening of the Special Education for Advocates (PKPA) Batch 1 Year 2025 was held.

Dr Azwar Agus, SH, M. Hum, Chairman of the Indonesian Advocates Association of Palembang City, reported that the Special Education for Advocate Profession Batch 1 will be held from 18 January to 18 February 2025. Azwar Agus said that special education for advocate profession is an absolute requirement for law graduates who will become advocates. Therefore, Azwar Agus asked the participants to follow the activities optimally and pass the advocate candidate exam.

Dr. H. Muhamad Harun, M. Ag, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, welcomed the activity, which was the implementation of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The Dean hopes that Advocate Professional Special Education can continue as a form of contribution to producing competent and qualified legal practitioners.

The Head of the Faculty of Sharia and Law Laboratory, Dr Syafran Apriansyah, M. Ag, as the activity committee, added that the education participants totalled 19 law graduates from various universities in Indonesia. The lecturers were academics and legal practitioners with experience and competence in the field of law.
