ACCELERATING INTERNATIONALIZATION, THE FACULTY OF SHARIA AND LAW HOLDS FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION WITH STUDEC INTERNATIONAL

FSH-UIN — In order to accelerate the implementation of internationalization programs that have been formulated, the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, held a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) on the theme of Socialization and Collaboration of International Activities. The activity, which was held online on Friday, February 07, 2025, featured speakers Vivi Kartika, Str.AB, Ch. Cht, MBA, Director of Studec International Jakarta.

Dr. H. Muhamad Harun, M. Ag, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Raden Fatah State Islamic University, said in his speech that according to the Strategic Plan that was launched, in 2029, the Faculty of Sharia and Law is targeted to become an internationally accredited educational institution. To achieve this target, the faculty directs international-scale activities. The Dean emphasized that this Focus Group Discussion is a step to accelerate this goal.

Vivi Kartika, Str.AB, Ch. Cht, MBA. Director of Studec International Jakarta in her introductory remarks explained that Studec International is an educational consultant in the form of a group consisting of Studec International, Korean Exchange, Studec Academy, Studec Course, Studec Fellowship, Edutour, Gaido Institute and Youth for the World. Some of the programs that we run include: conferences, seminars, education expos, excursions, exchanges, education consultants, classes, short courses, and volunteering abroad. Studec has around 50,000 alumni from 48 countries in Asia, Europe, America, and Australia. With this institutional profile, Studec International opens opportunities for collaboration in various activities with the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang.

Present in this activity were stakeholders in the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang including the Dean, vice deans, Head of Administration, Head of Study Program, Secretary of Study Program, and Head of laboratory. At the end of the Focus Group Discussion activity, a question and answer session was opened and resulted in an understanding between the two parties regarding this international program collaboration.
