Widiansyah Putra, a student of the Islamic Criminal Law Study Programme at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, received an award as the Outstanding Youth of South Sumatra Province in 2024. The award was presented during the Youth Pledge Commemoration Ceremony held at the South Sumatra Governor’s Office on Monday, 28 October 2024.
The selection of Outstanding Youth 2024 is a national activity which is a programme of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMENPORA RI). At the South Sumatra Provincial Level, this activity was carried out by the South Sumatra Provincial Youth and Sports Office (DISPORA) which took place from 1 July to 28 October 2024. The theme is ‘Inauguration of Outstanding Youth, Pioneer Youth and Young Talents in South Sumatra Province 2024’.
Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Dr H. Muhamad Harun, M. Ag in his speech said that FSH UIN Raden Fatah gave the highest appreciation for Widiansyah Putra’s achievement. Harun hopes that this achievement will trigger motivation to achieve more and at the same time become a motivation for other students.
