
The 2024 South Sumatra Province’s Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) event was officially closed. The event, which was held on 3-9 May 2024, was attended by caravans from 17 regencies/cities throughout South Sumatra Province. The official closing ceremony was held at the Sekayu City Equestrian Stable in Musi Banyuasin on Thursday, 9 May 2024.
The chairman of the 30th MTQ Publication of the South Sumatra Provincial Level, Herryandi Sinulingga, who is also the Head of the Muba Communication and Informatics Office, said that all competitions took place successfully and produced winners in each branch.
The 30th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran of South Sumatra Province competed in various branches of competition, including the Tartil Branch, Child Tilawah Branch, Youth Tilawah Branch, Adult Tilawah Branch, Youth Qiraat Murattal Branch, Adult Qiraat Murattal Branch, Tunet Tilawah Branch, 1 Juz Tahfidz Branch, 5 Juz Tahfidz Branch, 10 Juz Tahfidz Branch, 20 Juz Tahfidz Branch, 30 Juz Tahfidz Branch, Arabic Interpretation Branch, Indonesian Interpretation Branch, English Interpretation Branch, Manuscript Khat Branch, Mushaf Khat Branch and Decorative Khat Branch.
Two students of the Faculty of Sharia and Law who made achievements in the competition for the Tilawatil Quran Competition at the XXX South Sumatra Province Level. Muhammad Rizki won third place in the English Interpretation Competition, and Miftahul Azhari won second place in the Qira-Atul Murattal Al-Quran Competition Branch.
In his speech, Dr Muhamad Harun, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law of Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, said he was proud of and appreciated the achievements of these students. Hopefully, more brilliant achievements will be achieved and become a motivation for other students.
