
FSH-UIN — On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between the Faculty of Sharia and Law of Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang and Permata Syariah Bank. The signing took place in the Munaqasyah Room on the third floor of the Dean’s Building. Representing the Faculty was Dr. Muhamad Harun, M. Ag, the Dean, while Arief Laksamana, the Branch Manager of Permata Syariah Bank’s Palembang office, represented the bank.
In their remarks, the leaders of both institutions emphasized the significance of collaboration and partnership in achieving their respective work programs. Dr. Muhamad Harun highlighted that the Faculty of Sharia and Law offers a Sharia Economic Law (Muamalah) study program, which is highly relevant to Islamic banking and specifically aligns with the objectives of Permata Syariah Bank. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to establish this collaboration.
Arief Laksamana, represented by Habibullah, Division Head of Sharia Advisory and Governance, noted that as Bank Permata Syariah continues to earn public trust, it is committed to enhancing its services and quality. Collaboration with universities, including the Faculty of Sharia and Law, is part of their strategy to gather constructive feedback for future advancements.
Additionally, as part of implementing this cooperation, a public lecture was held featuring Prof. Dr. H. Jaih Mubarak, SE, MH, M. Ag, a member of the Sharia Supervisory Board of Permata Syariah Bank. Prof. Jaih Mubarak delivered a presentation on “Human Resources for Sharia Economic Development.”
