
FSH-UIN — There is a saying that ‘Experience is the best teacher’ and this is what the students of the Moot Court Community intership/intership program felt, they were very happy when they first entered the Lahat Religious Court, welcomed and met with the leadership and court staff who were very humble, friendly and friendly when they came, this made them more confident and felt very comfortable at the Lahat Religious Court.
Nadya Citra Aulia and Viddia Tri Aziza, two students from the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law at Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang who are members of the MCC or Moot Court Community, expressed their happiness and pride in being able to fill their holiday productively through the MCC intership program for one month at the Lahat Religious Court.
Many new things they got and very valuable learning, this intership program is very supportive of our future goals said Nadya and Viddia. Our presence at the Lahat Religious Court was welcomed by Mr. Muhammad Basri, S. Ag., SH as the secretary of the Lahat Religious Court as well as providing direction on the rules in the Lahat Religious Court and an introduction to the chairman and staff of the Lahat Religious Court.
The Chairman of the Lahat Religious Court, Mr. H.Shalahuddin, SH., MH, also welcomed the presence of students and provided explanations and directions regarding the scope of civil law then he also gave input to students to continue to obey the rules in the Lahat Religious Court. The interns were also introduced to the clerical staff and invited to tour the rooms in the Lahat Religious Court starting from the Chairperson’s Room, Deputy Chairperson, Treasurer, Main Courtroom, Second and Third Courtrooms, Mediation Room and PTSP Room (One Stop Integrated Service), services at POSBAKUM to learn about the terms and conditions of the lawsuit / independent application with the methods.
Nadya and Viddia were very happy with this internship opportunity, especially since it was something new for them to do during their holiday. ‘What was very exciting and memorable was when they were allowed to witness a live trial of divorce and inheritance cases, this really triggered our enthusiasm when we saw the judge presiding over the trial, so we hope that one day we will also become a panel of judges, he said hopefully’.
Viddia also said that this intership or internship activity carried out by MCC is the right choice for law students who want to have skills in trials and learn all things related to the litigation process in court.
